An Important Message from Lounge Appeal

As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to have an increased impact on our communities, we feel it is important to connect directly with you to share more about the steps we are taking to help keep you, our employees and our events safe and healthy. We are committed to delivering the Lounge Appeal experience you know and love in an environment that promotes and protects guest safety and health.

We completely understand the concerns you may have for the health of your guests if you are currently planning an event. We are here for you. We are working with all of our current clients and vendors who have been impacted by the situation or feel unsafe.

Our hearts go out to all those who have been affected. We want to share a few of our precautionary measures and the ways we are here to serve you, our clients, during this time:

Inventory Disinfecting – Extraction of all sofas and material items has begun and will be taking place after EVERY event. Deep cleaning has begun on all other hard surface inventory with cleaning products approved by our government health organization to kill any virus germs. Same cleaning products are being used in our extracting machine.

Office, Warehouse, and Vehicles – We have conducted specialized cleaning for our warehouse, offices, vehicles, and trailers. This took place Monday with direction from specialists in cleaning places that consist of lots of traffic such as hospitals, and we will be doing this weekly.

Staff – Warehouse AND delivery staff are given masks, gloves (gloves to be changed periodically). A secondary wipe down of all products onsite at setup. Although items are cleaned prior to loading, we are taking extra precautions for event guests by wiping down all items for a second time once placed on site. Also, items will be cleaned again prior to loading at an event strike/pick up. This will potentially help stop the spread of anything to event staff, event guests, and any bystanders who happen to be in the vicinity.

We are giving the option for sales staff and office staff to work remotely, but if they choose to work from the office we have supplied personal sanitizers, Clorox desk wipes, and masks should they be needed.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and evaluate additional measures to support our customers and communities as needs arise.
For additional information about COVID-19, get the latest report from the Centers for Disease Control at cdc.gov or your local health department website.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

Lastly, for some words of encouragement, we recommend that everyone #PurellThenParty! For those with booked events such as weddings, there are many ways to stay healthy and keep guests healthy during intimate events and gatherings, such as:

  • Working with venue coordinators for upcoming events + weddings on the best plan to ensure guests have access to sinks with soap, hand sanitizer stations, tissues or cleaning wipes
  • Making sure vendors are wearing gloves if they are handling any food or drinks
  • Discouraging people who are sick from attending events in a caring manner
  • Ensure a designated space that can be used to isolate guests who become ill and cannot leave the event immediately
