Baby Shower at La Valencia Hotel

In an all blue, sparkly silver and angelic theme, Lounge Appeal designs an amazing baby shower in honor of Kristy Griggs, who is expecting her first son in January 2012. It took place at the gorgeous Veranda Terrace at the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, CA. The invitations, menus, place cards and all paper goods were designed by Alchemy Fine Events & Invitations
.

We used the 8ft. long by 4ft. wide King’s dining tables from the Royal Collection. They are white, high-gloss lacquer and fabulous when put together to create a long, dramatic table for a large number of guests. This shower was attended by 30 of Kristy’s favorite ladies, all instructed to wear a shade of blue in honor of the baby boy, Forrest Clinton Griggs V (Jack). We then paired them with crystal clear chivari chairs for the guests, and capped the head of the table with the Couple’s Throne. for the Mom-to-be.

FloralWorks, the floral and event design division of Raphael’s created the 32 foot long center floral arrangement, made from fresh hydrangeas, in a white to deep blue graduation on top of a long, shiny silver table runner to give the tablescape a very posh, ombré look and fit within the white and blue angelic theme.

The signature drink was the “Baby Blue Bubbly”, served from the white tufted patio bar. The corner lounge was cobalt blue suede, with mirrored table accents from the Royal Collection. Sparkly photo frames and glitter on the cupcakes from CupCake Love gave that special touch!

Each place setting was adorned with specialty chocolate favors, with silver sparkle angels by SoBelle Chocolate Favors. Guests took them home as a special treat. The day was a gorgeous 75′F outside, and the veranda setting with the ocean in the background made guests feel like they were lunching together somewhere on the Italian Almafi coast. Towards the end of the shower, after presents were opened and enough champagne and cupcakes were consumed, little white and yellow butterflies fluttered above the floral centerpiece. It was one gorgeous day, and an honor to celebrate baby Jack!

The best thing about trendsetters is we all see the world differently. Our favorite piece in this layout is the Queen Ottoman in stamped silver croc with swovarski crystal buttons and tufting. Lounge Appeal plans to add more of these ottomans into inventory very soon, in all colors, textures and with different detailing.

An intimate beach dinner at sunset with Lounge Apppeal’s Royal Collection

This was one of the most fun and creative photoshoots Lounge Appeal has done in a long time. Partering up with mastermind designer Vanessa Van Wieren of Alchemy Fine Events & Invitationswas a dream, as she created a beach chic tablescape that was both glamourous and natural.
Vanessa went straight to infamous designer Diane Von Furstenburg’s Home Collection for an eclectic mixture of solid, smooth, patterened and textured pieces in lamé, porcelin and wooden materials.

Gold metallic lamé “Majesty Thrones” and “Imperial bench” was showcased from Lounge Appeal’s Royal Collection, in addition to the foundation piece – the 8 foot long high gloss white “King’s Dining Table”.

Isari Flower Studio of Solana Beach created the gorgeous fuschia, scarlet and blushtone floral centerpieces, along with the mirrored accents and crystal candle holders. South Ponto Beach in Carlsbad served as the perfect backdrop to this sunset setup. Only thing needed is some champagne on ice, a few lobster tails and good friends and you have yourself the most memorable and fashionable beach dinner of your life!

President of Lounge Appeal gets married with over-the-top wedding furniture & décor!

>
Melissa McGowan of Flowers by Cina in Orange County is one of Disneyland Resort’s main floral designers. She is known for her classic, picture perfet florals and is who designed the over-the-top wedding flowers and all 10 bridesmaids bouquets. The grand bridal bouquet that was composed of blushtone florals to match the cream and gold color palette had swovarski crystal centers and white ostrich feathers and was an amazing 14 inches in diameter! It “was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen” Kristy said. The dress was a custom design with a 12 foot train and veil in “diamond white” satin from The Bustle in Del Mar.

Clint Griggs of Lounge Appeal married on February 26 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Little Italy, San Diego to his Italian bride, Kristy De Bernardi in a traditional catholic mass and gorgeous reception immediately following. Both ceremony and reception were designed by Emily Smiley Fine Events & Soireés and Lounge Appeal, Inc.
Platinum Pro created the gorgeous custom vinyl dance floor shown above, with the bride & groom logo in gold lamé. They also specialize in bar wraps, as they made for Lounge Appeal’s sectional showcase bar in the same font and gold lamé! This made for such a nice, custom touch and acute attention to detail. The guests were “floored”.

Photographer extraordinaire Scott Lawrence of Scott Lawrence Photographs captured the entire wedding in such an amazing, candid fashion. The below is one that depicts the transformable Culy Warehouse, situated in the heart of the gaslamp district in downtown San Diego. Views of Lounge Appeal’s white and glow furniture vignettes and Emily Smiley’s gold manzaneta “wishing tree” peer through the finely etched window.
It’s all in the details…….as catering professionals 24 Carrots of Orange County know, as they impressed guests with custom cocktails shaken, not stirred! They arranged the most beautiful “mediterranean landscape” of cheeses, hummus, grilled vegetables, artisian breads and specialty olives to begin dinner, after tray passing prosecco and chilled wines to accompany the grilled cheese triangles with tomato bisque shooters, individual greek spanakopitas and caprese “skewers” with aged balsalmic. Then, lavish “share plates” of various pastas, raviolis and sauces made to order to compliment the main entreés of braised short ribs and macadamia nut-crusted halibut were served.
